The tale of Toyota Mayai..

Jana I was at my usual 44 matatu stage in the morning waiting to be ferried to town for work at 30 bob as usual. This young man drives his Toyota NZE or Allion and stops at the junction to drop his passenger and ends up blocking the exit. 

There is a bigger Toyota behind his car that cannot get past his car while he and his passenger are casually holding a conversation in total disregard to the vehicle they are blocking...

The blocked Driver asks them politely to give way and the young man stupidly moves his vehicle to block the road further and stays put. The other driver lets out a big laughter that now attracts our attention further though we had been following the developments. We wonder why someone in such a situation should laugh that loud instead of sending me to the nearest Police Station for a gun...

What he says next in a heavy Luo accent made us laugh louder than him and both car engines..''Ei kijana! wewe unadhani uko na gari? hapo mimi sijaona gari! hiyo ni mayai wewe unaendesa! Hiyo ni mayai omera, umekaa ndani ya mayai!''

The young man cleared the road faster than we could blink and drove away so fast.
